Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer rubber, better known as EPDM, exhibits excellent resistance to extreme temperatures, acids, ozone, oxygen, sunlight, alkalis, and keytones.

EPDM is an excellent synthetic general purpose elastomer for use in a wide variety of applications.  It has resistance to heat, cold, ozone, saltwater, weather and ultraviolet light.  It is also resistant to animal and vegetable oils.  It is an excellent material for outdoor applications and withstands strong and oxidizing chemicals.  Commonly used in the construction and automotive industries.   Recommended for service to resist animal and vegetable oils, ozone, strong and oxidizing chemicals.

Good for temperatures up to 220°F
Good ozone resistance, sodium hydroxide

Not good for petroleum based fluids.
